Après un baccalauréat en histoire et une mineure en philosophie à l’UQAM, Manon André obtient son diplôme d’études supérieures de l’Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (ARBA-ESA) en communication visuelle du graphisme et de l’image. À Montréal, elle s’établit comme travailleuse autonome en design graphique et poursuit son exploration en art visuel. Elle suit plusieurs ateliers et cours dans des centres d’artistes ainsi qu’à l’Université de Montréal. À travers une quête identitaire ses recherches et expérimentations actuelles parlent du territoire réel et imaginaire, de transmission et d’aliénation culturelle.

After her bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in philosophy at UQAM, Manon André obtained her graduate degree at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels (ARBA-ESA) in visual communication of graphic design and of the image. In Montréal she established herself as a freelance graphic designer and continued her visual art exploration. She participated in several workshops and courses in different Artist-Run Centres, and at the University de Montréal. Through a search for identity, her current research and experiments speak of the real and imaginary territory, the transmission and cultural alienation.
